Verdant Ridge
Verdant Ridge is a small Morgan and Arabian stable set among Vermont's Green Mountains. The stable focuses on horses suited to saddleseat competition, with Morgans and Arabians competing in divisions such as Park and English Pleasure, while select Arabians also take part in endurance and Arabian racing.
The program is intentionally selective, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. Each horse is developed with its individual strengths in mind, whether that means animation and presence in the show ring, stamina and determination on the endurance trail, or speed on the racetrack.
Verdant Ridge is designed as a quiet, traditional stable where each horse has a clear purpose within the program and is given the opportunity to represent the stable at its best.
Ally Malone
Ally Malone is the owner of Verdant Ridge and oversees the stable's Morgan and Arabian program. Her primary interests lie in saddleseat competition, particularly the elegance, expression, and athleticism found in both breeds.
She also maintains smaller endurance and Arabian racing programs, giving the stable competitive interests outside the saddleseat show ring.
Her approach centers on maintaining a manageable group of horses and developing each one according to its strengths rather than building a large roster simply for numbers.
