Diamond J Ranch began as a small western operation with a straightforward goal: to develop horses that were as useful and dependable as they were competitive. Rather than building a large roster at once, the ranch chose to grow carefully, giving each horse an individual place within the program.

The ranch is centered on working western disciplines, where athletic ability must be matched by responsiveness, confidence and good judgment. Ranch versatility, working cow horse, cutting and reining all influence the type of horse selected and the way each prospect is developed.

Quarter Horses form the foundation of the program, while Paint Horses add the same stock-horse ability in a distinctive package. Horses are chosen with their long-term suitability in mind, whether their future lies in competition, ranch work or eventually contributing to the next generation.

Diamond J Ranch remains at the beginning of its history. Its herd, staff and competitive record will grow over time, but the ranch will continue to favor patient development, honest performance and horses with the mind to handle a real job.

Owner / Head Trainer

Ally Malone

Ally Malone founded Diamond J Ranch with a focus on developing capable, dependable western horses rather than building a large program quickly. Her training philosophy emphasizes patience, consistency and creating horses that are confident enough to handle both competition and practical ranch work.

As head trainer, Ally oversees the development of the ranch’s Quarter Horses and Paint Horses, with particular attention to cow sense, responsiveness, durability and trainability. Her goal is to produce versatile horses with the mind and ability to succeed in working western disciplines while remaining useful, honest partners outside the show pen.

Ranch Manager

Cole Bennett

Cole oversees the day-to-day operations of Diamond J Ranch, helping keep the horses, facilities, and daily ranch schedule running smoothly. Working closely with Ally, he handles everything from horse care and property maintenance to coordinating the practical details that keep the ranch operating behind the scenes.
