Club Rules

These rules cover BDC membership, competition, scoring, awards, listings, and basic club conduct. Topline's own game rules always take precedence.

Membership

  • BDC membership costs 500 rosettes per game year.
  • Membership is not required to enter BDC shows.
  • Active members receive a 10% discount on BDC show entry fees.
  • Active members are eligible for year-end award prize payouts.

Show Participation

  • BDC shows are open to all eligible Topline dogs, whether or not the owner is a BDC member.
  • Entries must be submitted through Topline before the published closing date.
  • Dogs must meet Topline's normal eligibility requirements for the class and discipline entered.
  • BDC does not override Topline restrictions on discipline eligibility or training.

Competition & Scoring

  • BDC standings use Topline placement points: 8 / 5 / 3 / 2 / 1 for 1st through 5th.
  • In Conformation, Champion is treated as 1st and Reserve Champion as 2nd.
  • Performance and Conformation standings are tracked separately.
  • Imported Topline show results are the official source for BDC standings.

Awards

  • Current award standings remain provisional until the end of the BDC show season.
  • Finalized award winners become part of BDC's permanent award history.
  • Prize payouts are available only when the winning dog's owner, or winning kennel owner, is an active BDC member at season end.
  • Award-specific criteria are listed with the award where applicable.

Listings

  • New breeding and sale listings cost 300 rosettes for 30 days.
  • An unchanged renewal costs 150 rosettes for 30 days.
  • A renewal requiring changes is treated as a new listing and uses the regular fee.
  • Listings are published after review and payment confirmation.
  • BDC may decline listings that are misleading, inappropriate, or unrelated to the intended listing section.

Conduct & Administration

  • Members and competitors are expected to treat others with courtesy and respect.
  • Harassment, bullying, cheating, fraudulent entries, or deliberate misrepresentation are not permitted.
  • Questions about obvious result, listing, or rule errors should be brought to BDC administration for review.
  • BDC may remove listings, deny club benefits, or take other reasonable action when club rules are deliberately violated.
  • Topline's official rules and system decisions take precedence over BDC rules.
